This qualification is aimed at anyone who has a specific responsibility for fire safety in the workplace.
It is suitable to:
- Qualify fire wardens/fire marshals
- Provide a foundation of fire safety knowledge on which employers and 'responsible persons' can build
- Increase the fire safety knowledge of all employees
Level 2 Award in Fire Safety Course Overview
The Qualsafe Awards Level 2 in Fire Safety (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that aims to develop learners’ fire safety awareness. The course content includes how fires are caused, the risks associated with fire and what we can do to control fire risks in the workplace.
The course also covers the principles of fire safety management at work, fire safety inspection, fire safety risk assessment and the legal requirements related to fire safety in the workplace.
Understanding the role of a fire warden is a key component of this qualification.
Level 2 Fire Safety Aims and Objectives
To help learners to understand:
- the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
- how fire risk is controlled in the workplace
- the principles and practice of fire safety management at work
- the role of the nominated fire warden.
Learner Numbers
The maximum number of delegates per course is 16.
Assessment
Assessment will be by a number of multiple choice question papers. There is 1 exam paper per unit. which must be completed under examination conditions.
The maximum time allowed is 45 minutes. The minimum mark to be considered for an overall 'pass' is 20 out of 30.
Certification
You will receive a Qualsafe Awards Level 2 in Fire Safety (RQF) certificate valid for 3 years.
